About TLS.
TLS is an Ascot company. The crew behind it spent 20 years laying paving and building gardens across Berkshire and Surrey before the name went on the van — long enough to have seen how most driveways fail, and why.
Our Story
Built on the tools.
We started TLS after years of being sent to fix other people's work. Sunken driveways, patios pitched towards the house, retaining walls leaning out over a flowerbed. Almost none of it was a materials problem. It was 100mm of sub-base where there should have been 250, or a wall built with nowhere for the water to go.
Everyone here has spent years on site with established landscaping and groundworks firms. We have laid the sub-bases, cut the flags, pointed the joints and stood on the drive at the end with the homeowner while they looked for something to complain about.
So the company is set up around the boring half of the trade: dig it deep enough, compact it in layers, put the falls in before anything gets laid on top. No subcontractors — the crew that turns up on day one is the crew that hands it over.

Four rules we don't bend.
Dig it deep enough
A driveway is a structure. 250mm out, membrane down, MOT Type 1 compacted in layers, falls set before the surface goes on. It costs a day and a load of aggregate, and it is the difference between twenty years and five.
Put the price in writing
Quotes are itemised by scope, materials and timescale, so you can lay ours next to the other three and see where they differ. If something changes on site, the conversation happens before the work does, not on the invoice.
Send the same crew back
The skilled work never gets subbed out. The person who quoted your job supervises it, and the people laying the paving are on our books. When something needs putting right, you are not chasing a number that has stopped answering.
Name every material
Marshalls, Tobermore, FSC-certified timber, UV-stable resin systems — written on the quote by name and range, not described as "high quality". You should be able to look up exactly what is going in your garden before you agree to it.
What We Cover
One number to ring.
Groundworks, drainage, paving, walls, steps, turf and planting — all of it in-house. Nobody is waiting on another trade to finish, and there is no argument about whose fault the levels are.
