Landscapers in
Windsor.
Driveways, patios, garden schemes and the groundworks underneath them, in Windsor and the streets around it. Built by our own crew, on a sub-base dug for the ground under your plot rather than a standard depth copied off the last job.
Ground, planning & access
What we know about Windsor.
We cover Windsor, Eton, Old Windsor, Datchet and the rest of SL4 — repointed Yorkstone patios on heritage properties at one end of the range, full resin-bound driveways at the other, all of it built by our own crew.
Windsor has more listed buildings, conservation areas and riverside plots per street than anywhere else we work, and each of those comes with its own rules. We work to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead's guidance and specify traditional materials where the property calls for them, rather than fitting the same contemporary finish to a Georgian frontage.
Listed & conservation properties
Windsor town centre, Eton and several surrounding villages sit inside conservation areas. We flag planning and Listed Building Consent early where a project touches protected fabric, and we will say plainly when a piece of heritage work belongs with a specialist rather than with us.
Thames-side drainage
Closer to the river the water table is high for months of the year and the subsoil is clay-heavy. That changes the job: permeable bases, linear channel drains, and falls calculated rather than eyeballed. A surface that looks right and ponds every November has not been built, it has been laid.

“We had three other quotes but TLS were the only ones who actually explained the sub-base process. You can tell they know what they are doing.”

Windsor FAQs
Asked in Windsor.
We handle the groundworks and landscaping scope on properties of any age. Where Listed Building Consent applies to the built fabric we work alongside heritage specialists and walk you through the RBWM process rather than guessing at it.
Possibly. Windsor and Eton have several conservation areas where permitted development rights are reduced or removed, and a listed property can lose them entirely — in which case even a permeable surface may need prior approval from the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. We establish which applies to your address at the survey and put the answer in writing before any design or pricing is agreed.
Yes. We manage the dropped kerb and vehicle crossover application with RBWM on your behalf. Expect eight to twelve weeks from submission — worth starting early. We coordinate the highways installation and design the crossover into the driveway so the kerb, the crossover and the surface read as one piece of work rather than three.
On Victorian and Edwardian properties around Windsor and Eton, traditional materials nearly always sit better than a stark contemporary finish: natural granite setts, reclaimed Yorkstone, block paving in muted tones. We bring samples to the survey and will tell you how each one weathers here, which is not always what the brochure photograph suggests. Heritage material selection is part of every Windsor survey at no extra cost.
Reviews
In their words.
“Had TLS come out to do a decking job at our place in Bracknell. Communication was spot on from the first message right through to the job finishing — always kept us in the loop on timings. Turned up when they said they would, got the decking done to a great standard, and left the garden tidy afterwards. Fair price too. Would definitely use Total Landscaping Services again and recommend them to anyone in the Bracknell area.”
